Traditional Futons Beds in Japanese Models
Futons beds are traditional Japanese furniture, basically the mattress that forms the bed that is still commonly used today. Futons first appeared as an ancient Japanese weed cloth. A traditional futon set usually costs fewer than 10,000 yen (about $ 83) sold in a special store called futon in Japan and other department stores. A traditional Japanese futon set generally consists of a mattress called shikibuton wrapped in a Shikifu or sheet, a blanket called Kakebuton covered with a back cover, a blanket called môfu, and a pillow called a makura. Makura is usually filled with nuts, wheat buckwheat, or plastic beads. The dome as high as 4 to 5 cm is flat, has a cotton filled exterior and / or synthetic mat.
In Japan, there are various futons beds available depending on the season. For example, futons can be made of feathers, which are light and comfortable during the summer. Heavy and heavy futon may be used in summer. Futons are designed to fit on Tatami – a traditional Japanese floor made of straw mats of various sizes and uniforms, bordered by brocade or plain black cloth, and packed with straws. Styrofoam can also be used with the recent ones.
